In the photographs below you will see "Shades of Grey" in progress.  A photo was taken at the completion of each hound.

Shades of Grey was started on 5/5/2006.  On the average Cindy spent 1-2 hours each weeknight and 10-12 hours on weekends drawing this piece.  A rough estimation of drawing time invested in this piece is in the neighborhood of 800 hours.

You can see the light outlines of the other subjects if you look closely.  These outlines were merely guides during the drawing process for Cindy to know where to shade the areas. 

Sydney and introducing Kala Blu 6/22/2006

Shading above Sydney and Kala Blu make them "pop" out from the background.  The outline guides are still visible as well as the emerging ears and face of Rayma.
